Root Samsung Galaxy Note II on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with CF-Auto-Root

Here’s quick guide describing how to root Samsung Galaxy Note II on Jelly Bean 4.1.2 XXDME1 Firmware with CF-Auto- Root. Samsung Galaxy Note II is the most worshiped phablet from the Smartphone giant Samsung and it has rated as the top phablet of 2012-13 on Mobilers Meet, Russia. However, rooting Note II has never been easy though there are many single click tools are available. First of all, it’s a costly device and obviously , people won’t undergo though an experiment in any manner. But here’s how you canRoot Samsung Galaxy Note II on JB 4.1.2 without any fear of bricking.

Galaxy Note II was getting continuous official as well as unofficial updates and in order to make the most out from that, rooting is a must do process. Of course, you can update your Android versions on Jelly Bean or ICS eve without rooting, through official firmware updates . But the problem is that, most of those official firmwares are bulky and have at least few GB in size. So if you are a slow internet monkey and really longing to upgrade your versions on high end devices, especially like Galaxy Note II, rooting your device is a boon.
Let me tell you the difference. Recently, I owned the beast, Galaxy S 4 and interestingly, I got a link for android update to the latest version. But what I faced there was, since it was an official update, it was around 1.5 GB in size and I couldn’t afford that file anyway as I don’t have a high speed internet connection. But wait, I haven’t refused the update.
I immediately rooted my device (it was heavy though) and searched for a custom ROM which provides the latest android version (a.k.a 4.2.2) and even more functions than official firmware. I’m a CyanogenMod lover and I believe it has made their best for my device. The size was around 400 GB and I hope you did understand what I meant in terms of the benefits of rooting.
When it comes to our job, we are dealing about the rooting process of Galaxy Note II 4.1.2 XXDME1 Firmware running on Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I think you are familiar with CF-Auto-Root and if not, hear me, it’s one among the top rooting apps ever invented for high end android devices say, Note II, S III, S 4 , HTC One etc.

Precautions and Disclaimer

The disclaimer part is really boring, yet I say, rooting voids warranty and even may brick the device. So we are not responsible for any damage that are likely to be sustained from your side. Also , never miss your files so make sure you have taken sufficient backups before proceeding. Make backups on Contacts, Messages, Calenders and everything else you seems important.
Enabling Android Debugging is a must to catch the sync between your PC and Device, so move on to Settings> Development> Android Debugging and check the box. Charge your battery to avoid power failure but it’s optional, 40 % backup is enough unless you have got a dumb battery. All are set. Shall we move on ?

  • Download and install Odin Tool from HERE
  • Now you need to enter your device into Download Mode. For this, press and hold Volume Down, Power and Home buttons simultaneously.

  • From Odin now select “PDA” and load the root file you have just downloaded before in 2nd step.
  • Hold on and click “Start“ button. Wait until it transfers the whole file and have a cup of coffee. It takes time.
  • Once it’s finished, the Odin tool will display a pass message, indicates you’re awesome. Done.
Now unplug Note II and wait for the reboot. Haven’t you got the screen? Yeah, it’s been over. You have successfully rooted your Galaxy Note II and it’s time for fun. Check if Super SU app has added to your menu . Alternatively, you can install Root Checker App to confirm root.
In case you struck at the boot screen for a long time, press and hold Power, Volume Up and Home buttons together and enter into Recovery Mode .
