Google Mistakenly Shows Off Nexus 5 Android Phone – In Pictures

While Google and LG are still tight lipped on the upcoming Nexus 5 Android smartphone which is now long awaited, in the recent KitKat’s statue erection Video, camera seems to have caught the upcoming Nexus 5 Android smartphone mistakenly. Oops Google! Camera has got you! When asked to LG Electronics, LG refused to comment on this and further added that it has nothing to comment on specifically on Nexus 5 as of now. Though, Google has removed the Video from its official website, we have mentioned the image below for your ready reference;

In the latest, Google is set to be working with Nikon to bring on board Nikon’s expertise to the next version of Nexus 5. If you could just recollect, then Google and Nikon have worked together in coming out with the Nikon Coolpix S800C smart camera which is based on Android OS. Also, Google has acquired Nik software last year who are the makers of the popular app “Snapseed” and in which Nikon has invested substantially. So, indirectly Nikon and Google wants to leverage each other’s expertise. Google wants to have a level playing field with Nokia’s Pure View technology, HTC’s Ultrapixel war and Apple iPhone’s brilliant camera.

After riding success of Nexus 4 from LG Electronics, it now seems that LG bought an amazing technology on the table for Google for the second time as well. If we go as per the Rumors then LG and Google might just release the much awaited sequel to hit that is for Nexus 4 dubbed as Nexus 5. If Nexus 5 is launched by LG then this is the first time that a Nexus device is being launched twice by any handset manufacturer. The reason for such a pricing makes sense as the BOM (Bill of Material) cost for making the above specs laden phone is no more than $249 and considering a premium of around $100+ as Google will save on marketing cost and other dealer incentives for selling its Nexus 5 smartphone.
