As we all know that the original Nexus 7 was really a great success. It’s almost a one year passed now after the launch of the Nexus 7 first generation, but still most people will consider it more affordable and more robust tablet as compare to all other tablet in the market.
Of course Nexus 7 first-gen is a great tablet, but technology changes day by day and Google want to continue its popularity. And the only way is the release of next version named Nexus 7 III.
There is lots of rumours about the launch of Nexus 7 second-Gen. Firstly it was rumoured that it will be launched at Google I/O in May. Obviously this didn’t happen. Some rumours are reported its launch at the end of July. A lot of improvement has been done in Nexus 7 III over its first generation. Let’s check out all its specifications and features listed below.
According to the rumours it has been said that the next new Nexus 7 will feature an update of Full HD 1080p display, screen resolution of 1920x12oo pixels and also reports says an LTPS display technology stands for Low Temperature polycrystalline technology. LTPS offers many cool features including higher resolution, high pixel density and more smoother latency than the normal LCD.
Nice Stuff, sleeker and even more refined body shell. Other rumours state that we will get a narrower bezel around the screen and thinnest profile. According to leaks , it could be between 7.5 mm to 8 mm thick and 323 ppi (pixel per inch) pixel density makes the overall Nexus 7 II more advanced than all other tablets in the market.
Software
Of course Google new Nexus 7 will work under the Android platform just like its predecessor Nexus 7 I. But at this point it is really hard to say which version of Android the Nexus 7 II will come out. Some of the leaked information says that it will packs with Android 4.3 jelly bean version which is also not yet released. The expected date of release of Android 4.3 version is between July and August, and if Nexus 7 III will launch in that time period then it’s possible gets Android 4.3.
There may be chances that Nexus 7 III will feature Android 5.0 OS. If this happens then it makes us wait until October. Whatever the version is being, it got the most advanced version at that time.
Hardware
The first Nexus 7 uses the Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core processor and according to the most recent rumour we know, Nexus 7 III will use Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor. Also it will feature an arena 320 Graphics Processing unit (GPU) and RAM of 4 GB.
The most unfavourable thing in First Nexus 7 is its incapability of the external memory slot. New Nexus 7 will feature 62 GB internal storage memory and also expected a MicroSD slot for expansion in memory. Comes to the camera part, New Nexus model may get 5MP of rear camera and 1.6 MP front camera.
Also, include Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, GPS and MicroUSB. Reports say this model comes in two versions. One with the Wi-Fi and other with the 3G and 4G model. Also a battery backup of 4000 mAh.
Price and Availability
Expected date of release of Nexus 7 III will be the end of July and talking about the price then you can afford the base model of new Nexus 7 III with 129$ which is 16 GB variants and of course the 32 GB variant and 3G/4G model will cost you even more.
