Samsung introduced several new samsung gadgets at Samsung Premiere in London in 2013. Here are the most interesting of them.
One of the most exciting new products introduced is Galaxy NX, the first compact camera with interchangeable lenses and 3G/4G LTE-connectivity. It works on Android.
The camera has a viewfinder and a built-in flash, and 13 interchangeable lenses are available.
Thanks to the 20.3 megapixel APS-C-matrix, users can create images with high detail. And DRIMe IV Image Signal processor provides high image quality and quick shooting.
Enhanced dual Advanced Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) System provides fast and accurate focus. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS brings the camera close to a phone in term of functionality and makes shooting and particularly the photos publication online easier and more convenient.
Galaxy S4 Zoom is another gadget that combines the functions of a camera and a smartphone. The smartphone is equipped with a 16-megapixel sensor, 10x optical zoom and Xenon flash. The hardware characteristics are a 4.3-inch AMOLED-display (960×540), 2-core chip with a clock speed of 1.5 GHz, USB flash drive for 8 GB (only 5 GB are available for use). Capacity of removable battery is 2330 mAh pm.
Perhaps, the most interesting features of S4 Zoom are In-Call Photo Share and Photo Suggest. The first one allows you to take photos during the call and immediately send them to another user. Photo Suggest determines where the user is located, and shows pictures of other people which have made photos in this place.
Another member in the line of Galaxy S4 smartphones is smartphone Galaxy S4 Active. The device is IP67certified what means that it is protected from dirt, sand and water.
To demonstrate this, during the presentation the gadget was effectively dipped into the aquarium.
The smartphone can “live” up to an hour at a depth of about one meter. Special “aqua mode” allows you to take pictures even under water.
S4 Active has got a 5-inch display with a resolution of 443 dots per inch, 4-core chip, 1.9 GHz, 2 GB RAM, battery 2600 mAh and two 8- and 2-megapixels cameras.
Another device presented at the Samsung Premiere 2013 is a transformer – laptop-tablet Samsung ATIV Q, allows you to run both Windows and Android applications. The switch between Windows 8 and Android happens with one button press.
ATIV Q has a 13,3-inch screen with a record resolution QHD + (3200 × 1800 pixels). For comparison, the maximum resolution of Apple MacBook Pro with Retina display is 2560 × 1600 pixels.
The user can work on the device in four different modes: tablet, notebook, notebook with the screen flipped to the other party, and with the screen positioned parallel to the keyboard.
Laptop thickness is 13.9 mm, weight is 1.3 kg. It can work autonomously up to 9 hours. Its stuffing includes Intel Core i5-4200U processor, 4GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD-drive. Display brightness automatically adjusts to the ambient conditions; the bundle includes a stylus S Pen, transformer housing is made of aluminum.
Samsung has not forgotten about the classic tablets. The company presented ATIV Tab 3 – a Windows-tablet of 8.2 millimeters thickness and weighing only 550 grams. The gadget’s screen is of 10.1 inches with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels.
Tab 3 will be sold together with a free copy of Office 2013 software package (version Home & Student) and a stylus S Pen. At the core of the tablet there is Intel Atom Z2760 processor; 2GB of RAM (LPDDR2), storage capacity is of 64 GB and HD-camera. As Samsung assures, battery will last for 10 hours of continuous work.
